I will forever highly recommend this company to everyone I know. I was on my way home just passing through Ponoka and had an issue with my vehicle. I called around in a panic and was quoted upward of $200. Finally called Wagner’s and was told to bring it by and they would have a look and help me out. I got there and they were very kind and where waiting for me ready to help. They pulled my car in and fixed the issue within 10 minutes. They didn’t charge me anything at all to fix it!! I was told it would be their good deed for the week. I almost started crying cause they helped me out in such a big way.

I will forever highly recommend Jim and his amazing team for the help and work they do for the community.

Thank you so much Wagner’s.

My girlfriend took her Toyota Corolla after there was an exhaust leak from the exhaust resonator flange breaking off, which is something I couldn't fix. They qouted me $170 total meanwhile in Edmonton Midas charged me over $300 just in labour for the same job. I'll definitely be bringing my vehicles here in the future.

Im travelling across country and my a/c went out. So I happen to stop into Ponoka. Nice mechanic shop, but these guys are open to take your money for nothing. I’m a business owner and I understand you need to charge for something to inspected but don’t overcharge if you don’t ultimately solve the issue.

Came in to check my a/c they had it for a total of 4 hours, I looked at my dash camera they inspected it for 20 min. They said they recharge it and looked at the wiring and the compressor. And could not fix it they said it was an amplifier (1700$) no one has it your gonna have to get it from the states. The owner charge me almost 400$ for fixing nothing and diagnostic was wrong.

Days after I went to toyota service told me the amplifier never goes bad in 32 years in business their shop never had to order one, then told me it was the compresor change it. Now it’s all working. Don’t bother with these ppl. Go to hi-tech or fist choice. They didn’t have time but they seem to be honest. it’s not about the money it’s about the principal.

BEWARE !!
This guy charged my son almost $7000 to fix his air conditioning the truck sat there most of the summer we tried to get an explanation of why he was being over charged they didn’t care
After total frustration he went to pick up his truck to find rear body damage to the box which the owner tried to dispute by questioning the body shops as though he wasn’t responsible for the damage
He has three estimates provided to him and we’re still waiting for them to own up and make things right and that’s not even addressing the overcharged repairs that took all summer !! We will never go back never recommend!!

Highly DO NOT recommend this company. I took my car in a few days ago to get my wheels balanced and rotated. I took my car for a drive and noticed it didn’t feel quite right after I picked it up from Wagners. So I took it to Integra Tire to get a second look .. To my surprise , Warner’s didn’t balance any of the tires , they didn’t even take off the back passenger tire !! But yet I was sure charged for a full balance on 4 tires !! Integra tire was amazing and explained and showed me the mistakes made by Wagner. They didn’t even charge me to fix the mistakes ! Will not be returning to wagners.

Wagner's Automotive is my favourite independent auto repair shop. The staff that answer their phone are excellent. They know their stuff and make good suggestions about things I might want to have done to my car. They can typically make time for me the same day I call if I just need something simple done.

The quotes they have given me seem fair and are comparable to everything else I've seen. The couple of times I've talked to their mechanics they seemed knowledgeable, and happy to tell me about some of their tools, the ones that I will never be able to afford =)

I typically drive a very common car, however I've also taken some uncommon and unusual cars to Wagner's. They seemed happy to work on them and did a good job.

Now, for starters I want to say one thing before I post my honest review of the customer service I received on Friday, January 10th, 2020. I have used Wagner's Automotive my entire life, I don't know if it was because my dad or grandpa usually dealt with all of the details of my vehicle being serviced, but I have never received this amount of poor service in my lifetime. When my husband decided to book them I honestly thought nothing of it because they have always done work on my vehicles and I personally have never been treated poorly until this day. (However, I have heard stories from other women that they have taken advantage of them before)
January 10th started out perfectly ok as I took my vehicle in around 8am and they gave me a ride home. I had a pleasant conversation with the driver and all seemed good. So around 9am I called to tell them to while they take the tires off during the out of province inspection to simply take the backs and swap them to the front while they are off, she proceeded to tell me there was one problem. This problem was tint, ok no problem I said chad will remove the tint it's not too difficult. They said, "well no it can't leave the property or it costs $85 inspect fee, we can remove it for $200 charged at 2 shop hours." At this point I left it up to my husband and he called, and the receptionist said that it was ok if they tested the windows first and I rip the tint off and chad would remove glue later. (Now I will point this out, the receptionist did not know that this was not allowed though she should have asked the tech, she genuinely didn't know any better)
As I had just finished packing kids into the vehicle to head there to rip tint off, the receptionist called saying that I needed a form from the registries, that she had forgotten to mention that we needed when we booked so I said ok and detoured to the registries. After 30 minutes sitting in the registries looking for this form they said I needed all the vehicles information, so I had to go back to Wagner's to get the bill of sale and everything else that I had no idea I needed to get the form. When I showed up I had a nice conversation with Ralph and the other tech and they were ok that I was going to take tint off but as I was walking out they said they were going to charge a shop fee of $85 for use of shop. (At this point I was shocked as they must have really needed that $85 so I proceeded to call my husband who was at work to let him know.)
As I finished getting the forms after about an hour of extra work my husband called and said they told him I could remove it outside. Now even though it was a very frigid day I was not paying them 200 plus dollars to remove the tint so I agreed. So, I walked in the front door paperwork and tint in hand and handed it off to the receptionist so she said ok so they will test the window outside and all should be good cause its cold. Then the tech came in, this man who was kind driving me home and also kind the 2nd interaction in the shop had slightly changed his tune. He mentioned that the receptionist was dead wrong, and that it had to warm up to test it. At this point I said let me call me husband, so I proceeded to try to explain but he didn't understand what I was saying so he called himself to talk to the tech. After this said phone call my husband had told the tech that I would remove the glue myself. The tech then hung up the phone looked me dead in the eye and said, "Well your husband just isn't gonna let you have a break." I was so disgusted and upset at this comment I said, "Guess I'm going to get supplies" and left.
Ok, I will say I was very frustrated at this point. I had dealt with scattered planning, rude techs, and people who said things that should have been confirmed before saying "Yes that is ok" I went home with my two children 2 and 4 who had been in the car since 8:30am, now being almost noon I called Magnum Tint in Red Deer to see what they use to remove tint and if they have any tips on removing in the cold... See Wagner's Facebook for full review google limited it.

I broke an upper ball joint driving by Ponoka and the tow truck driver took me here. The work was done quickly and the price was reasonable. They gave me a list of things that needed to be adressed on the car, and a sheet of scanner results. I really couldn't have asked for more.
