Three of us booked ourselves at Bent after reading the reviews, and the courses/instructors did not disappoint. We booked both restricted/non restricted courses over the weekend and we were impressed and pleased with the quality of the instruction from both Walter and Russell Bent. It’s not a short course but we found that their teaching was fabulous and taking the exams at the end of each day was not a chore, but rather a pleasure. Thank you to the Bent family for sharing their love, respect and knowledge of safely handling firearms. Also worthy to note - there were a wide range of firearms provided for testing purposes each day and a manageable class size as well, so we all felt comfortable asking questions and learning at different rhythms - without feeling rushed or left with questions. All 3 of us recommend Bent!

5 stars does not suffice the excellent knowledge I gained taking the CFSC and CRFSC course at Bent. I got to know about Bent from a friend who took the CFSC and CRFSC course. Bent Safety is safe, family run, welcoming and professional.

If you have no experience ( like me) or have tons of experience, the material is explained very well. The rotation of hands on and hands off training along with videos makes the day enjoyable. I took the course the weekend of Oct5/6.

The practical and theory exam rules are explained clearly. No need to worry as long as you pay attention, and take notes you will get through the course. Special thanks to Russell, his mom Sarah for ensuring I understood the course Material.

I am an Actor and to further my career, I decided to take the CFSC/CRFSC Course in order to apply for my PAL license, allowing me to have knowledge and training on handling shotguns, rifles and handguns if required, while filming. My knowledge and experience was zero percent going into the course, and I actually was going to cancel taking the course because I feared I was going to fail, due to my lack of understanding surrounding guns. Until, I called a week before taking the course, and spoke with Russell Bent. Thanks to the two incredible instructors, Russel Bent and Walter Bent, my 2-day weekend course at Bent Safety Course in Scarborough. I achieved 92% on my practical test for shotguns & rifles and I achieved 94% on my practical test for handguns!! Also special thanks to Mrs. Bent! Great team! Sincere Gratitude, Tammy Lee

Attended just the CRFSC as I already took the CFSC many years ago. Russell and Walter are hands down some of the best instructors I’ve come across in my adult life. Although the course is long they both held my full attention the entire time and used their valuable experience to walk me through each phase. Would highly recommend the teachings from the Bent family and Bent Safety Courses to anyone looking to acquire their PAL.

i paid 500 dollars for the course and at the end of it they make you do work, they make you mail your completion to the rcmp and wait for a reply. they should do that part for you why did i pay 500 dollars. do your job.

I took the course at Bent Safety for my non-restricted PAL. The instructors were great, very knowledgeable and their teaching style really works. Honestly, I felt like it was the perfect introduction to firearms. I learned so much about guns and gun safety. Thank you Walter and Russel 👍🏼 Highly recommend your services.
