Lovely, safe, and multi use range.

Ive used almost all their ranges and have had an excellent experience with friends and family. Camping is so much fun and the staff have always been so sweet and helpful. Highly recommend supporting this range.

I've been a member here for about 12 years I think and I can't believe I have never written a review. When I worked at my previous job, I was able to head there weekly so I took the RSO training, the holster training, and was really happy to meet really helpful members. I don't get to go as often but I bring my kids every chance I get so they are familiar with the sport. The place is well looked after, the MP range is my favourite because of the flexibility of shooting when you want to with your group. I really enjoy it when other RSOs that participate in SIAS or one of the other competitive groups pop by and share tips or stories. Membership can be expensive but the VFGPA is not only keeping the facility working, safe, and clean but it is also fighting the good fight to keep this sport open for future Canadians and members as our rogue politicians erode the privilege away.

My step-son and I took our PAL courses together, bought similar, Canadian-made, semi-auto rifles, and joined the VFGPA. Everyone at the VFGPA helped us get educated and comfortable with all that they have to offer. Highly recommended!

Members and guests have access to camping and a stocked fishing pond. Whether you're into trap, skeet, rifle, pistol, or bow disciplines, this association has something to offer you.

This feels like a gun range if it was managed by the liberal party. Also 70 dollars for a day pass? That's wild. I'm sure this is totally justified and definitely what it costs to maintain an empty property with some tables set up

They gouge you because they can and have for years, just drive to Nanaimo and use a real range. Better yet move there and get out of Victoria. One star for making me waste my time and gas for them to try and rip me and my friends off. Gun owners have it hard enough without these shenanigans as it is.

I really enjoy the MP bays. It is my primary reason for going, the rifle range is a little short (240M) but not bad. The down side is for some reason every time I go to the rifle range it's always contains a few CHUD's that want to offer you their two cents. At one point I actually had someone come up and hold my 308 barrel commenting wow that's hot after it had been sitting in the sun for over an hour of shooting. He then followed it up by grabbing it again and repeating wow that's hot, I think you're shooting to fast and that I was going to get barrel warp. I dont feel the need to go further but will just state that at the cost of 308 I was not throwing metal down range out of my bolt action rifle indiscriminately.

Get your family out there and enjoy all that this association has to offer. The yearly dues are very reasonable for a family and it's considered one of the safest around! We love it out here. The only problem, and it's minor, is we cant turn back towards Langford on the highway. Go have some fun!
