This place is amazing! Great range, great store, great people. Safety is absolutely number one priority here on the ranges and I expect nothing less. I came down to practice for an upcoming law enforcement requalifying event I have coming up and their range was the perfect place to do it. Can't wait to come back!

Love this place. Trap, 2 ranges (50,100) the staff is a bit rough around the edges but that's what makes it fun. Go in there and speak with some gusto. Great deals as well for first timers. I took my two much younger siblings for some skeet and trap fun. My younger brother wooped my butt. I highly recommend this place.

Good place to shoot in East County. Can get busy at times, but early in the adternoon on a Friday, I was able to walk right in and get a lane. To shoot trap you need to make a reservation online. Trap is only open Fri, Sat & Sun. It is by appointment only. One appointment gets you a reservation for one round of trap. Add multiple quantities in order to shoot multiple rounds of trap. Each reservation is $10 and that goes towards your round of trap. You have to pass a 15 question safety exam but it is open book.

we had planned a deep sea fishing trip and it fell through so we opted for a day at the range shooting skeet and targets. 7 of us ranging in age from 12 to 53 including girls and guys. The staff was friendly and professional. None of us had been to P2K before, so we all had to take a safety test. They set us up to skeet shoot first. We had brought with us 2 shot guns 12 gauges and rented 3 for the kids. what a blast we all had. After skeet we returned their shotguns and switched out ours for rifles and had guns and moved to the indoor range. I shoot at a indoor range near my home the controls for the targets are very different between the 2 ranges. my local range i can tell how far out I want the target which is nice knowing the distance but the controller is difficult and temperamental at P2K the controls were very very easy to use but no was to know the shooting distance. it might be nice to have some way to gauge little signs on the track mounts maybe? This tiny issue would not keep me from returning just a recommendation. We had a lot of fun and when in the area we will be back.

This one of my favorite ranges in SD. A little out of the way. But for good reason. I enjoy shooting here. The range is a bit hot so dressing comfortable should benefit you. Good procedures and excellent staff. It’s why I continue to return. ?

Love that there’s not some macho gun dork breathing down your neck the whole time like TGR off Balboa.

It’s like this people, p2k is the only place I know of in San Diego that you can go, and safely educate yourself at your pace and not have to deal some burly weirdo standing 6 inches from you telling you how he did it when he was in the coast guard.

The best part is, IF you want help with your shooting experience, just ask someone that works there and they are more than willing to do so. This is how a range experience should be.

Yes certain ammo needs to be inspected because people are dumb and take green tip 5.56 to an indoor range, people please look into the ammunition you fire, that stuff is barrier penetrating, counterintuitive to the whole indoor shooting into a wall thing right? Just show them your ammo and don’t complain, they aren’t trying to violate your little space, they are ensuring the safety of some poor dude having s smoke outside.

Will definitely be back, if I could say something that could be better, I’d love to see a night where you can bring night vision inside and kill the lights at the range. Maybe a private course or something for those of us who have made awful financial decisions.
