Dr Hunter is the BEST at what he does. He is what every doctor should want to be. Caring, compassionate and intelligent! I've been under his care for around 3 years and I can honestly say if not for Dr. Hunter I would not be here today. That is not a hyperbole it is the straight up truth! Thank you Doc for being an amazing doctor and a wonderful friend ( I truly consider him a friend).

My son lived in Nanaimo. He was under the care of Dr Hunter. My son passed away Aug 24/23 from a fatal concentration of methadone. Dr Hunter had not seen him since January of 2023. However, he was still giving him "short prescriptions ", in his own words, for harm reduction. So my son went 8 months without a doctors care. The pharmacy that was delivering the methadone was not monitoring him while he was ingesting it. It cost him his life. Both Dr Hunter and the pharmacy were negligent. It cost my son his life. So no, Dr Hunter will not be getting a shining review from me.

I love Dr. Hunter. He's by far the best doctor I've had in general. He's a better psychiatrist than my actual psychiatrist. He will go the extra mile to ensure that you are taken care of. He is a great listener and doesn't assume things. I hope that I can stay one of his patients for as long as I need to be treated. He doesn't taper to aggressively. Instead, he does slow tapers, and if he taperes you too much, he will put you back on a dose that is suitable for you. He has great respect for patients who listen to his instructions, and he always seems to be in a good mood anytime that I go to see him. He is very reasonable with his prescribing, making sure that his patients are taken care of. I know that I'd be in a way worse situation if I hadn't been referred to Dr. Hunter. I am very happy with him being my doctor, I trust his decisions.

I haven't had dr hunter very long but I can say he is by far the best he sits there listens and will have answers I totally recommend him as well as his secretary she's the nicest lady very friendly happy thanks so much for being yous ur the best .. they all make you feel so comfortable.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hunter's for years, and he is hands down the BEST doctor I have ever had, I actually look forward to my appointments at the office as the entire staff is friendly, and welcoming. Dr. Hunter is someone that truly cares for his patients well being, takes the time needed to listen to any concerns you may have, and actually asks how things are going for you, which is something I've rarely experienced outside of this office. He is caring, compassionate, non-judgemental, knowledgeable, understanding, well mannered, patient, straight to the point, and most of all Honest, even if it isn't what you want to hear at that moment. He will work through whatever issues you are having, and I always leave feeling completely satisfied with the appointment, calm and totally relaxed. I cannot even begin to imagine how difficult hid job can be at times, dealing with each patient at a different places in their addictions, and or recovery, I don't know how he does it, but he does, and with such ease, and finding it within himself to support each and every one of us, no matter how difficult we may be! Thank you Dr. Hunter, and each of you who work there, you are the ones who are truly make this world a better place ❤️

Dr Hunter is my favourite doctor I’ve had, super friendly and seems to care about how I’m doing in my recovery , making sure everything’s going good , goes out of his way to make sure I get the correct dose. I deffinetly would recommend ARC clinic to anyone that needs opiate replacement ☺️

Dr.Hunter is undoubtedly the best doctor I have ever experienced in my life so far!!! I am still amazed at how he is able to professionally be a good doctor,know what he is talking about, take the time to make sure that you know what he is talking about and still manage to be humble and not at all pretentious!, He is wonderful and it's like he doesn't even know it! Oh and almost forgot. Takes the time to listen to you and how you feel about your possible diagnosis and all treatment moves!!! I truly wish him the best with everything! Thx

Great Doctor. Dr. Hunter is one of the best. Doesnt treat you like an ars hole. And doesnt have a God complex. It is refreshing. His Male assistant may need some more training as many things such as phone messages either don't make it to Dr. Hunter or are lost in translation and basically you end up appearing to say something to Dr. Hunter that is out of context. That can be quite bad, depending on the message.

Try to speak to Dr. Hunter directly if it's important.
