A friendly and welcoming shooting school and club. Featuring  both air gun facilities (including a couple of 100m lanes) and a great variety of clay shooting challenges across a spaciously laid out site.

But ultimately it is the people who make the club. Special mentions to Jo, and assisted by Morgen, in front of house and run as a welcoming well oiled operation. We started as non-member visitors and Jo immediately made us feel part of the Barby family. Also special mention to Matt in the shop. An RFD with immense knowledge, whose friendly patience and unwavering support cannot be too highly commended. Also ably assisted by Jonti in the shop; an equally friendly font of knowledge and a great shotgun instructor. And not least, my own instructor David. His experience, attention to detail and supreme patience has made for a hugely enjoyable learning curve. All in all, the club has become part of the fabric of our family routine with the whole family signed up as members.

I can highly recommend the club, its facilities and people. An exceptional and personally rewarding experience in a day and age where the personal touch has become increasingly rare.

Went here on Saturday, absolutely great air rifle range. Plenty of things to shoot at, multiple distances. The facilities are second to none and very well maintained. Great for a morning or afternoon out. Firing point is sheltered very well. Staff are amazing and very friendly.

After making repeated phone calls and visits to Barby Sporting the case and chokes for my new Browning were never found, no explanation or solution was given. I'm really quite disappointed in them as I've been a customer of Rugby gun for nearly 40 years then obviously Barby. Being a loyal customer I thought I was valued and deserved a more professional outcome.

Great ground! Lovely friendly staff, ESP layout, 12 stand,changes every two weeks, 3 traps per stand, 4 on Stand 11 which all stretch one just a little bit further.

Cadman Sporting- Barby is a welcoming and friendly club. Regardless of your ability this club is good. I have recently moved from sitting in the club house having coffee, while my family go out shooting, to having a go. Jo who is the great organiser there, not only gave me the confidence to initially join my family on the air gun range, to taking clay shooting lessons. Jo has immense knowledge and kindness whether you are a young person going out for the first time on the airgun range, to those going out clay shooting; she is just welcoming and attentive to your needs.
I must mention in this review my clay shooting instructor, Jonti. Taking me as an absolute beginner who did not know how to hold a gun, to someone who is having a go. He deserves a five-star review from me, because he is an excellent instructor who puts safety first and gives me confidence to learn a new skill. I have absolute trust and confidence that Jonti can teach me to shoot clays. He has patience when I miss, and explains clearly what I need to do improve my technique. He obviously an expert shooter and very knowledgeable about the sport. I think he would be a great instructor for any age or ability.
This review would not be complete without a mention of Matt in the shop who is very knowledgeable on everything gun and shooting related. He is so helpful and brilliant. Morgen who also works there is so friendly and helpful. It is run by friendly people.
So, if you are looking for a shooting club that is friendly and welcoming, regardless of your ability, age, or gender I can recommend this club.
