Gary is knowledgeable, helpful, and an absolute treasure. Call ahead, don't just show up. Well worth traveling many hours, completely unique, and you truly will not find anything like Gary or his shop elsewhere.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience with Gary. I'm a beginner and I was looking to buy my first bit of gear. He spent about an hour and half with me going through what every was, what I needed, what I didn't, what he does, what he doesn't do and the history of the sport. I highly recommend that you visit Gary before anyone else.

It's very important to call ahead though as the place is a little tricky to find if you haven't been there before.

It's dark, cramped and I love it. This is the kind of place I will tell people in 30 years of. The selection of products is fantastic and Gary. Gary is a gem of a human being. He is kind, polite and very entertaining. I travelled an hour to buy a bow from him and talking to him alone made it worth it. He engaged me in conversation and storytelling, was beyond knowledgeable regarding his wares. If I lived closer to the shop I would stop in just to talk to the man.

We have visited Gary's shop a number of times, and with his guidance, we built a successful English long bow. He was always very supportive, even when we had a severe problem. The shop is a bit unconventional, but highly worth a phone call to set up a time, and then go for a visit. In closing, Gary is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and generous with help and advice -- certainly the person to speak with for any traditional archery advice and equipment.

Gary has a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion in the field of archery, his shop has anything bow related for all levels of experiences, whether you want to make your own bow to a finished bow in many draw weights to suit many archers. I went there to get a English longbow kit to finish myself, left there with everything I needed and had a few good laughs with Gary over some good conversation.
When you go there do not judge a book this book by the cover, it is the diamond in the rough.

A completely unique archery supply store. In fact one of the most interesting stores I've been to bar none. The owner Gary has vast knowledge and is a interesting personality in his own right. Make sure to call ahead of time and be sure to set up an appointment, there are no drop ins. If you have a cold or flu wait until you are recovered because Gary is very wary of getting ill.

I got started here five years ago. It's a owner operated store. Gary has a great manner of explaining the intricacies of archery. He spent time making sure my first bow and I were suited for each other. Got me the right arrows for the bow. I got set up with everything I needed at a very reasonable price.
