This store is certainly the best place to buy alcohol in Nelson and the product selection is the best in the area by far. The staff is generally good depending on who you deal with but I have found that recently some of the newer hires have given us great customer service and truly seem knowledgeable and educated when recommending wines or spirits and it's really a positive experience shopping here. Great energy from the staff here! Not often are they out of the products we are looking for and when they are, the friendly and happy staff have great alternate options for us! My wife and I shop exclusively here and will continue to do so!

I just had an amazing customer service experience and wanted to share how impressed I was with our Nelson, BC Liquor store branch. Customer service often seems to be a thing of the past these days, but I was reminded of how much of a good feeling it can leave you with when someone goes out of their way to make your shopping experience exceptional. This store often runs out of stock of coolers, beers, and ciders, especially on long weekends. There is often enough variety to find something to wet your whistle and the staff are great!

There is one type of beer I can get in bottles at a local General Store and a rural Government Liquor Store, but they rarely have stock in the Nelson Liquor Store. I have asked about stock several times with the same answer - Sorry. Poor management

I love the staff here, super friendly and engaging, always willing to answer any questions, they make every visit enjoyable. Good selection, prices are as cheap as they can be. Not a lot of selection for cold beer but they have a cooler or two if you really need something right away.

The staff are always great. Super knowledgeable and helpful. My only criticism of the Government liquor stores is their decision to have their prices not include tax and deposit any more. This gives the illusion that their prices are cheaper - until you get to the till. Feels sneaky and deceitful of them. But it is the government...
