We booked a site for one night using the letscamp.ca website. There is very little information on the site as well as a very poor map of the campground layout. Upon arrival we found the fire pit stuffed with wet garbage and ended up moving on our own to site that was a bit better. The firewood supply was horrendous as the few pieces that were there were strewn around unprotected from the weather were either rotten, soaked or too green to use. We scavenged a few dry pieces from other unoccupied sites and were able to have a bit of a campfire. The fire pit was old and rusted out and had been constructed from culvert pipe. It was small in diameter but protruded out of the ground about two feet. You can’t enjoy a campfire that you can’t see?
It was a long walk to the showers that night and fortunately one was unlocked. We did find the toilet smeared with dried feces. However the next morning all the shower doors were locked.
On a positive note, the campsite was fairly secluded and very rustic, with water and 30 amp RV power hookup.
Not worth $35 plus tax per night. Very disappointed

We stayed at the Lion's Campground while touring around the area. ||||Pros:||Located just outside the town so it was very quiet but only blocks away from downtown||Very clean||Well kept||Full service hook ups for only $25||Access to swimming pool||Free firewood||||I don't have any cons. There is access to showers and bathrooms at the swimming pool. Since we had full hook ups we did not use them. ||||The firepits were tall and had a grate and a flat surface for cooking. We did not have a fire since it was so hot when we were there. There were not ideal for sitting around and watching the flames.||||We would definitely stay here again. Very friendly volunteers at the campground.
