Castle Provincial Park is my favourite spot to camp in Alberta (so far). Our site backed onto the river and we could hear the waterfall and sit our chairs directly beside the water. There are amazing views and great spots to walk. The campground is new and well-taken care of, the non-reserve sites are probably the best for views and river access. Note that there isn’t cell service so you’ll be off grid, a welcome change for some.

Not worth the drive, terrible roads, overcrowded with people for mediocre views. No more random camping and little atv access. Truly a shame what has been done to the area over the past years,

Parked our Camper in the previously “free” sites a week ago to ensure a spot for the long weekend. The spot is way out and not easy to access. Upon checking on it this weekend we found a fine and a bill for $15.00 a night. There is nothing different than last year, roads unkept and no signage indicating things had changed. It is all about the mighty dollar. Beautiful area being ruined my government

An absolutely beautiful spot to listen to the water rushing by and wind blowing through the trees. Plenty of clean and accessible bathroom facilities. Sadly, there are rules about loud music but nothing about someones dogs barking for hours on end! There should be an extra fee for irresponsible owners!
Those were not the nature sounds I came to hear.
