Best time ever with Chimera! Unable to gain direction or help to get started in the sport was my challenge before finding the Basic Rifle course offered by Chimera. Previous to this, it was hard to engage with gun clubs and their staff at other places or even getting a phonecall answered. Chimera though had very easy booking, and although I was very timid and nervous and sweaty about wanting to shoot a rifle for the first time. Imagine that, me having no rifle experience and NEVER having shot a gun. But for the gents I met who guided me today, no problem at all (I did let them know I was as green as possible though I do think I am athletically inclined). Thank you to Darrell Maclean, Jay Wallace, and Courtney for creating a welcoming environment for all, answering all our questions, their cordiality, and all the assistance they provided me. This is a fun sport for sure and I finally understand that now thanks to this experience they gave me today.

I've taken three Chimera courses over two years: basic pistol (twice) and intermediate pistol with holster qualification. I can't recommend Chimera owner Taylor and his staff highy enough. Classes are small, well organized, and safety is emphasized and constantly monitored. And they're fun and challenging with a great balance between instruction / feedback and trigger time. Plus, you get to do things (like movement combined with manipulations) that you simply can't do anywhere outside of competition.

All instructors are Canadian Forces members or vets; they not only possess an immense amount of skill and knowledge but they know how to convey it as well. Taylor's emphasis on intentionality, ergonomics, biomechanics, and the applied basics of marksmanship were eye-opening for me.

Regardless of your skill level, Chimera will take you to the next level. I'm looking forward to next year where I hope to continue my training. Highly recommended.

An amazing curriculum that is no doubt the top firearms training facility in the country. The ATC training course is NOT for slouches whatsoever.

From day one, you are guided to take your training to a new level. The consistency in the training allows you to go from teaching point to point that makes sense and allows for clear understanding.

Taylor is by far one of the best facilitators I’ve had the pleasure of being taught by. I have learned so many new skills with his teaching method! Skills that will keep me safe and provide a professional service to my clients!

I'm a recreational shooter and I recently took the pistol course to help build good habits while driving speed and accuracy from the holster.

The course delivered exactly as expected. Taylor is an extremely professional instructor on the forefront of shooting literature and theory. I started the course with mediocre performance. Taylor turned us into confident, consistent shooters.

If you're interested in learning lessons well, Taylor and his team are the one's you want teaching you. From basic skills to advanced CQB, there's none better in the GTA.

An excellent training program in itself, with lots of new knowledge learned. However, if you're looking to take a course to get holster certified, look elsewhere. You will not get a certificate here proving you took and passed the course. None of the others in my class got anything either. All communication goes unanswered. Great training but Taylor is one of the most disorganized individuals I've ever met. I will no longer be referring any Ontario guys, but rather to Mike Brake who actually issues a certificate.

I took Chimera Firearms Intermediate Pistol & Holster course and I feel that I have improved so much after the 2 days of instruction. My speed and accuracy have massively improved, and so has my confidence at hitting targets at the very back of the range. Also, I had purchased a Sig Sauer pistol and I was having lots of malfunctions, to the point that I was not enjoying using it at the range. Taylor fixed my grip and handling on the pistol and I ended up firing almost 500 rounds with it throughout the course of the weekend with absolutely zero malfunctions. Taylor is extremely knowledgeable and professional firearms instructor and I will be happy to take more courses from him to improve my skill and proficiency with firearms.
