On est arrivé le matin pour un bruit dans une roue alors qu'on devait quitter Tofino le jour même. Super sympa, ils nous ont prévenu qu'ils n'avaient pas de disponibilité aujourd'hui mais nous ont proposé de laisser la voiture et d'essayer de regarder dans la journée si ils avaient un moment. On a récupéré la voiture dans l'après midi après que le problème ait été trouvé et résolu. Pas un gros problème mais c'est toujours agréable d'avoir des gens prêt à rendre service. Merci aux mécaniciens, super service 👍

If you're not "local" don't bother calling here.

I was told in unequivocal terms that they wouldn't consider looking at my vehicle (or even have a conversation) unless i lived in the area and was an existing customer.

I called because I was concerned that the vehicle had developed a safety / drivability issue while traveling to tofino for holiday. If service is restricted to "locals" I'll reconsider where our family vacations - while I know in vacation towns it's common to resent the tourists who come and support the jobs of locals, who in turn are able to support other businesses... I'm disappointed by the short sighted approach of this business owner.

For clarity, there was no offer of a later week appointment, I could only be fit in if I was local.

I guess there's something to add to the tourism website, "no mechanical services available"... if you are traveling to the area, I hope you don't breakdown while you're here!

First off, Claire was awesome, helped us with our RV rental flat with a beautiful constriction screw in the top of it. Claire communicated so well, was honest, and worked HARD. Second, Claire was awesome with my kids who supervised them the whole time, and even got to help. We problem solved together and we were charged a reasonable fee for work on a Sunday Evening. My theory is always if I treat the professional with respect they will do the same for me and that's exactly what we got. RV travelers - program the phone number into your cell when travelling into Tofino or on the pass

My interaction here was brief, but pleasant. A very friendly mechanic came out and retorqued my tires for free and very cheerfully, even though I'd had them put on in Nanaimo. Thanks so much!

We use LBA for our family and business vehicle needs, and we have for years. We will continue to do so as long as they choose to continue to offer their services to the remote west coast. Some people may not like the constraints Tofino has when it comes to parts/availability, but Long Beach always strives to offer the best service they can, and quite frankly, a lot of people appreciate it. We truly thank you.

Be careful. They replace parts without telling you. They put a $350 set of brake drums on my daughter's 05 caravan without telling her which doubled her bill. Totally unacceptable. After the owner finally got back to her. He offered to put the old drums back on and give her a credit. Again totally unacceptable. Poorly run business.

Living in Tofino for the last 4 months my 1980 van has unfortunately experienced several different issues and having no other options I brought it to long beach automotive. Being the only shop in town they definitely have the potential to abuse that power and take advantage of customers. However, each visit I've had the complete opposite experience. Front desk was always very helpful and kind, over the phone or in person, and they always seemed to fit me in within a reasonable amount of time. Additionally each visit came to less than my original quote and was often completed sooner than expected which was evidently a great surprise.
I wish all shops operated with such honesty and integrity, would highly recommend!
