Nanaimo Golf Club is one of the nicest golf clubs on Vancouver Island. The course is super manicured and challenging. It also drains well in the winter and has some excellent views of the water. It has a nice range to practice your skills as well as pro shop staff to teach you the swing. The pro shop by the way is top notch with products and service to match. Clubhouse food is excellent although when I was there, it was a tad slow in coming. It may have just been a busy day though. Service was spot-on. Nanaimo Golf Club is a semi private course which means they offer memberships but the course is open to the public. Their website has more details. Enjoy ⛳️.

I attended a banquet at the Nanaimo Golf Club. The facility is very nice inside with great views of the golf course. The service was friendly and professional.

The reason why it got knocked down in score was the bar service was long and it took a while for the tables to go get their food. The food was delicious but they ran out of salmon and rice by the time my table was finally called up but luckily my daughter was able to get some.

As for golfing it's semi-private I believe with prime time slots for members. I'll have to try them one day for golf and lunch. Hopefully it will change my score next visit.

Disappointed with the Friday Fish Chips. Fabulous location and scenery from the deck couldn't be any better. Good service and a nice presentation on plate, but the fish was thin, bland, and oily. So oily that there was a sizeable puddle of oil remaining on the greaseproof paper liner. On Vancouver Island there's no excuse for not serving up a decent piece of fried fish. I'll take the beef dip next time.

I wanted to show my friend who is new to the area all the highlights of my beautiful city & the golf course is at the top of that list. We thoroughly enjoyed the gorgeous view of the manicured grounds and fountain over a beer from the huge patio deck where I even zoomed in to a ferry approaching Departure Bay.

Fantastic service, perfect food and a gorgeous patio! The bourbon shrimp appetizer won't disappoint and the pizzas and salads are phenomenal. Don't miss this gem!

I had the privilege of being invited to play and stay for dinner following my round. I had last played Nanaimo G.C. & C over 30 years ago and at the time was not that impressed. However, what a different club it is now. The course was in amazing condition, the Pro Shop staff were friendly and helpful and the dinner was one of the better ones I've had at a private club. Now only if my golf game were better.

We recently celebrated a milestone birthday at the golf club. Was a fantastic experience. Not only does the venue have awesome views over Departure Bay, but the room we rented was newly renovated, had been set up for us and the staff is truly amazing. We had platters and a punch, but they threw in cucumber water and coffee too. You have access to their AV equipment and the entire evening was a huge success. Thank you so much. Highly recommended.
