Nice clean facility, lots of free parking, friendly staff, beginner equipment for rent, classes, pro shop (rather limited selection, but it's there), etc. They primarily cater to recurve/trad archers, but compound shooters are welcome as well (no broadheads). 18m max distance. Love that the place is divided into 3 sections so people don't have to wait for everyone to finish shooting before they can get their arrows. .

A few things I don't love - I find it a bit too dark on the side furthest away from the windows, the target butts are nice but impossible to pull arrows from without arrow lube, the place is a bit pricey if you're regular and they don't have a yearly membership, the open shoot hours are designed for people working 9-5 (place is closed in the mornings) and I wish more compounders shot there.

But if you're looking for something new to do, or a range to shoot occasionally, place is great.

And they also do fencing, which I know nothing about.

They lost a first time customer bravo

First impressions with the guy at the front desk was not well, very unsatisfied with the staff.
I was made aware upon arrival that in order to enter the archery range I would have to meet there qualifications (which I did perfectly, they are standards just like anywhere else I have been,if you have never shot they offer classes ) the guy at front desk then proceeded to test me by asking " how do you string a bow" which I then explained to him, and offered to show him an example that I know what I am talking about, he thought I was being a liar (suggest I take $50 class) and refused to leave the actual front desk for me to show him saying " it's part of my job, can't leave the front desk " THEN ten minutes later while I'm sitting out watching my boyfriend and everyone else enjoy themselves he LEAVES the desk walks past me in the range fully aware that I could be showing him that I know what I'm doing rather then sitting around, completely disregarded me chit chatting with other staff 1/5 stars lost a first time customer currently looking for a new range.

Awesome place to learn archery and continue to shoot. I've been shooting with these guys since they opened and absolutely love it. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the facilities are clean and they have good quality equipment for classes and to rent.

OCCS would be your best place to beginning your archery training wheather you want to practise recreationally or advance further in competitions! I spent my last 24 weeks here from knowing nothing about archery to be able to shoot on target on a consistent basis and now advancing to level 3, I am having the best time ever! All the coaches are very experienced and they do not hesitate one bit to provide you with the best advice that is suitable to your level and for future advancement! Sean in the Pro shop has amazing knowledge on equipments and will give you the best advice base on your budget! After you decide to purchase your own equipment, don't forget to sign up for their tuning clinic, a lot of useful information is shared on how to tune and maintain your bow, and tuning your bow makes your shots way more precise. Again all the coaches are amazing and you can't go wrong with OCCS! I highly recommend OCCS to anybody who wants to give archery a try! Whoever gave them bad reviews are nuts!

Was in the Mississauga area for business, and while staying at my hotel I decided to check this place out since I'm an epee fencer in Ajax. The staff welcomed me with open arms and were very friendly and accommodating.

I came in for the drop in rate on a Sunday night, and was given a club foil to use (I had only my epee) and was patiently taught the rules and nuisances of priority by many club members. I had a lot of fun and came back the following night to see the classical Italian fencing.

I was only expecting to watch the last 30mins, but instead a club president introduced himself and got to know me. He gave me a brief lecture on the style, and how its vastly different from sport fencing. We even had time for a short bout. I was very great full for his instruction.

If I'm ever in the area again, I'll surely drop in again. Or perhaps make the trip specially, because this is a very well run, very friendly club.

Amazing center for not only fencing but archery as well. The entire club is full of amazingly kind people that encourage learning. Definitely love the environment in which the club has.

Staff was unprofessional and very rude. The instructor, paid no attention or helped with my form and focused on 2 out of 7 students in class.
I felt isolated and didn't see the purpose of a class.
Left the class and the instructor didn't even notice I was taking my leave. the front receptionist laughed at me when I explained why I was leaving; at which point I decided to get my refund and never return to this place.

The owner however did contact me, and try to resolve the issue by offering 1 on 1 instruction with him personally. I did not take the offer but I was appreciative of the effort put in by the owner as a business man.

1/5 stars due to worst experiece I have had, in a practical class enviroment.

I now have to find other means to follow my passion for archery or drop it altogether.

A unique and interesting place, there is plenty of space for archery and fencing. The staff was very knowledgable and friendly. Overall a wonderful company to deal with.
