The whole family had a blast! I’m from out of state and wanted to take the kids shooting for the first time. Really glad I found Shady Oaks. The staff were super friendly and provided a quick safety video for the family to review. They had a huge selection of rentals and I was allowed to bring my own firearms. The range masters were knowledgeable and quick to help and it was inexpensive.

Visited a shooting range for the first time alongside my brother and husband. We enjoyed firing the .22 gun. Felt some anxiety as no instructor was present that day. Thankfully, my experienced brother guided both me and my husband, allowing all three of us to participate simultaneously. Overall, it was a positive initial experience, and I'm inclined to try again. An instructor would've been reassuring, but safety personnel at the range assisted us. No reservations were required; we simply walked in. Also very affordable.

Decent gun range. The staff is VERY safety conscious. So much so that i think they may have forgotten that you can take safety seriously without talking down to people. I was trained to hunt whitetail before i was tall enough to see over a steering wheel, but u wouldn't know that if u are someone who judges books by their covers. But the three star review is really more to do with the fact that their facility isn't very accommodating to people with disabilities if you are a disabled person who isnt wheelchair bound. I am one of those people, so i feel my observation of this aspect of their facility isnt up for debate. That being said, if u would like to hear my opinions on how your facility could be more disability friendly, feel free to contact me.

Tl;Dr - if you value your time, go somewhere else. If your time is cheap you can roll the dice, just don't expect too much. They have precisely zero respect to their customers' time and experience.

Took my time, brought a sitter, went to the range. Shot 2 mags and then they had a malfunction with the hvac.

Hey, I get it, things happen!
... Well, that's actually what I told my buddies I brought with me there a couple of weeks ago, we spent 40 minutes waiting that time and had to miss a work meeting.

20 minutes deep and we understand it's not going anywhere, we decide to leave. The front desk apologized for the inconveniency - I had mentioned it's unfortunate to experience the same thing TWICE within 2 weeks. He asked us if we shot anything, and because we did - charged us for the full time. I told him it makes no sense and he replied "this is the owner's policy, if you shot 1 round you're billed in full".

Now, don't get me wrong, I couldn't care less for $32.48 — it's the absolute lack of ownership and respect that rubs me the wrong way.
I'm a small business owner myself, hence why I did not leave a negative review last time this exact thing happened even though they were extremely rude that time on top of wasting our time.

But enough is enough!

Shame on y'all for having such an extremely poor empathy to your own patrons!

Have been their twice, wish we could go more often, was their last july and just today, seems the gun range area is closed but the rifle part is open, which is cool, had an hour wait which went by fast! One of the range officer helped me zero in my AR sight!! Thats awesome!! Great experience will be our primary range togo to!!

I was there with my husband last week.They are really friendly and the instructor at the range was super friendly as he asked me not to shot the head but I did that anyway as a VERY First timer the instructor actually was understandable to let me go, the place is really safe and made anyone comfortable to be at for a first timer.

As a family of 5 with kids ranging from 6,10 & 19 We had the absolute best experience with every staff member on the premises.
I will definitely be going back to this place! I am so amazed at the professionalism,patience, respect and support my family and I received here! They definitely care about safety, education & training of the younger children as well as the adults. I wish I would have taken the time to get everyone's name we encountered today. (Shame on me for not,but we are packing a lot into this last week of summer for us)
If you are looking for a great experience in an indoor range I highly recommend you go here , you will not be disappointed.

The staff and facilities are absolutely top shelf! Full range of rental options, great operating hours, stocked pro-shop, clean restrooms, friendly competent professionals that are helpful to newer shooters as well as salty old dogs. We love this place and we honestly feel fortunate to have Shady Oaks as a training resource!
