I cannot speak to the facility but I will speak to the people and the business practice. I have always wanted to go to silver willow and finally was going for the Turkey shoot this past weekend. Sadly and suddenly my grandfather had an accident and eventually passed away. I chose to stay by his side for 4 days as that’s where anyone should be.

But in saying that. I have not called or contacted silver willow but my party explained the situation and I have already without call received a store credit. This is very much appreciated and not expected. Most businesses I have dealt with in the past would have chosen to “sorry about your loss but our agreements states”

Clearly silver willow is different. These actions have gained a very vocal supporter of this business and hope more businesses will always put their customers first in such a way.

Went for a work event, 10 rounds with 5 shots per round led by our guide Boyd. 4-6 people per guide.

Each course had 3 places where the clay pigeons were flung from.

First time shooting, and Boyd was amazing. Provided tips and corrections to our shots.

There's 2 routes you could go with: a full guided course, 10 stations with 5 shots per station. I belive they also have a 14 station course as well.

Or membership with your own gun (can rent as well) and buy your clays on a membership card and go around on your own.

Light shotgun shells are used but you will feel it in your shoulder over time. After about 35 shots shoulder felt a little sore but had no issues finishing or pain the next day. Some others felt it earlier, some later.

We had a business planning day and skeet shooting yesterday at Silver Willow by Carstairs, AB, and what a great setup and group of people. Our hostess was fantastic and our shooting guide was top-notch. I'd never fired a shotgun before, but our guide was excellent at getting us up to speed.
They have a sign on their door that they will respect people's human rights by not asking about people's medical decisions, including whether they are v@**'d. I highly recommend them!

I’m new to shooting in a configuration like this. The course is laid out well and has a ton of variety, the system for buying clays and using them is smooth. The grounds and clubhouse are great, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Hoping to return more often!
