I have been training with Coach Florin and Coach Alicia at The Trapshooting Academy since 2017, starting as a young shooter, and I've watched my skills develop to higher levels with their guidance.

Thanks to the training I’ve received at The Trapshooting Academy, I’ve had the honor of competing on behalf of Team Canada as a member of the National Junior Shotgun Team in various competitions. My time with the academy has led to significant achievements, including winning silver and bronze at the Canadian National Championships and representing Canada at ISSF events.

The coaching sessions at The Trapshooting Academy are consistently geared towards steady development for athletes. I have always wanted to do firearms training. I used to think it was something that you were just *good* at and poor you if you weren’t.

In 2014, I looked up clay shooting and saw the Learn Trapshooting website and thought, THIS IS FOR ME. I had shot like once or twice and it was, like, hit or miss, really. I had no idea what I was doing.

I started and I loved it. I have found that when you have really good coaching, you actually improve and get good at a sport. I also horseback ride and it’s a really good idea to find someone who can help you along in the sport and knows what they are doing. Not everyone can coach.

I love this sport. It focuses me. I enjoy the journey. I love cleaning my gun. I am getting better. I am a senior and, believe me, this keeps me young.

Florin is a genius. Sometimes I think he can read my mind. He knows EXACTLY what I did wrong. But I keep improving and for the last two sessions, it’s been my *personal best*.

Florin is amazing. He has a training procedure and you follow it, you get good at shooting. I can’t say enough about the coaching. Absolutely brilliant.

Started a couple years ago, with no trapshooting experience. While I had my PAL processed, I had a Remi Kids shotgun, to get started. Once I got my PAL and was able to purchase a gun, I basically restarted a year later. Today, thanks for coaches Florin and Alicia, their determination to obtain the best performance from athletes, patience, and of course experience, with a great program in place, I am able to break around 90% of the targets.
