I never handled guns before in my life but ended this class with 100% on both practical and written thanks to their instructions and the extensive practice we had with all the required firearms. My advise for those taking this course is read the manual prior to class , listen very carefully to everything the instructor say and take note of all your mistakes while practicing for the practical component. For the practical I also said out loud the steps I was taking to make sure I get all the marks and it helps to keep a relaxed pace for myself.

It was a very enjoyable course, low stress, with a team of instructors who are interested in promoting the sport and ensuring your safety. They also help you through the PAL application process which I think they should promote more because its a great value add.

I recently completed my Canadian Firearm Safety Course and Canadian Restricted Firearm Safety Course at YR Firearms in Stouffville and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get their firearm safety certifications. They even offer the option to complete the courses over a weekend, which was very convenient. The instructors were outstanding-extremely knowledgeable, approachable, and committed to ensuring we fully understood everything being taught. They encouraged questions throughout the course and created a supportive learning environment. There was plenty of hands-on training, and the setup was excellent. The instructors thoroughly covered all the rules and regulations surrounding firearms, ensuring I understood how to handle them confidently and safely. They also made sure we knew the next steps after completing the course, including how to apply for your PAL license either online or by mail. The Customer Service with this company is truly above and beyond-they assured us we could reach out to them anytime if we had further questions, which really sets them apart. I went into the course knowing nothing about guns and walked away with a wealth of knowledge. It was an amazing experience, and I can't recommend this company enough!

I recently completed my un-restricted firearms course at this location. It was a great day, the instructor was confident and clear throughout the sessions. The practical lessons were excellent, both instructors were knowledgeable and made it easy to understand and follow the instructions to handle a firearm.

This is a full day of learning. You should be prepared to pay attention for a full day. I would suggest you bring some water with you, they do provide snacks and drinks which is a nice offer but if you are like myself, bring your own snack and drinks.

You get some breaks throughout the day which makes it easy to stay focused. For lunch there are many options close by that you can choose from.

Overall, great course, great instructors, and awesome atmosphere!

I couldn't be more impressed with the experience. From start to finish, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in ensuring that I gained the skills and confidence I needed. I will be highly recommending YR Firearms to anybody and everybody for their firearms safety course! In a typically male dominated environment I usually feel out of place but the Louis, John, Dylan and Mackenzie were amazing and I just felt like I was one among many in a great learning environment. They were very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. They were also patient and provided a very nurturing environment to learn in! I will be back for my restricted and I’ll be bringing my daughters for theirs when they’re of age!! Thank you guys for a wonderful experience!

It's kind of difficult to figure out which place to choose when getting your CFSC and CFRSC later and I was skeptical until the day of the class, however, my experience was nothing short of amazing.

Louie was my main instructor, a great individual and personality. Clear and to the point with his instructions. Rick joined him later and I loved his teaching style as well. He took over for Louie towards the end. My mom and sister attended with me and he was their favourite.

Truly amazing group! Massive thanks to the family and instructors for teaching us the ins and outs of firearm safety. Recently took my CFSC and CRFSC courses, and couldn't be happier with my decision to do it at YR Firearms. I'll be recommending friends and family to go through them in the future.
